Urban Foraging

Explore edible and medicinal plants growing right in your urban neighborhood! Learn how to safely identify, harvest, and use what’s already around you. We’ll explore the area around Social Good Place, and identify usable plants often found in urban Portland areas. We'll also see examples of items made from foraged plants, and sample food/beverage items made with them as well!

This workshop will be facilitated by ecological educator and botanical maker Gina Southern, founder of Vessel Kitchen Gardens, and is the first of a three-part series on cultivating resilience through botany.
